  • Iordache is a group formed in 2003, initiated by sax player Iordache.
  • Iordache produces and delivers free jazz and funk in a mix whose very precise proportions are established chaotically. All compositions are original.
  • “The three horns, and sometimes flute, combine with the electronic guitars and keyboards to create instrumental textures that work perfectly with the music they play. Drawing upon elements of cool jazz, nu jazz, exotica and lounge funk, Iordache’s tone colors can sound like Herbie’s “Speak Like a Child”, Jagga Jazzist, Snarky Puppy, Henry Mancini, Gil Evans or Dolphy's "Hot Cool and Latin". “One Life Left” is new cool jazz for the 21st, with lots of odd quirky eccentricities to boot.” – Jazz Music Archives

  • Portico Quartet’s self-titled album is where hypnotic minimalism meets new territories of sound. Inspired by ambiental, classical, dance and electronica, they have created a sound so eerie, beautiful, cinematic, futuristic that not even now, 4 years after the release of their first album, can it be compared to that of any other band. They are jazz, but a certain kind of jazz, steeped in the latest sounds of London.

Each songs changes pace, groove, style, from world music to jazz, latin and baroque. It’s contemporary sound juggling. You want to cry, dance, buy expensive speakers or headphones and listen to them non-stop. It’s the type of album you listen to on repeat.
